Class Description

  • 3 to 5-year-old Preschool is for our littlest ones. They will learn the basics of ballet and tap, and explore creative movement through high-energy song and dance.

  • Levels 1 and 2 are for our beginner dancers with 0-2 years of experience. Each class will learn and begin to master the basics of technique in their respective styles. Recommended ages: 6yo-9yo.

  • Levels 3 and 4 are for our intermediate dancers with 3-4 years of experience and have mastered the basics. Each class will progress towards higher-level techniques and continue to perfect the basics in their respective styles. Recommended ages: 8yo-11yo.

  • Levels 5 and 6 are for our students with 5+ years of experience and have mastered intermediate-level techniques. Each class will progress towards advanced levels of techniques in the respective styles. Recommended ages: 10yo+.

  • Strength and Stretch classes are for our company members and intermediate/advanced dancers looking to further their training.  This class focuses on flexibility, stability, core strengthening, stamina, and endurance. Classes will consist of streaming instruction as well as live instruction. *Evaluation before participation is required. The list of equipment needed is posted under Class Requirements.

  • Leaps and Turns classes are for our company members and intermediate/advanced dancers looking to further their training. This class focuses on improving jumping and turning techniques through center-floor and across-the-floor exercises. *Evaluation before participation is required.

  • Ballet 1, 2, and 3 are for our company members and intermediate/advanced dancers looking to further their training. This class will focus on ballet technique through barre, center-floor- and across-the-floor exercises. *Evaluation required before participation; will not perform a routine at recital.  

Class Requirements

  • Preschool Ballet and Tap: pink leather ballet shoes, tan buckle taps, leotard/unitard, tights, dance bag (optional: ballet skirt, bike shorts). Hair must be pulled up away from face. Boys: Black ballet and tap shoes, athletic wear, NO JEANS.

  • Level 1-6 Jazz: tan jazz shoes, leotard/unitard/dance set, tights, dance bag. Hair must be pulled back into ponytail or bun. Boys: black jazz shoes, athletic wear, NO JEANS.

​

  • Level 1-6 Ballet: pink leather or canvas ballet shoes, leotard/unitard, tights, dance bag. Hair must be in bun. Boys: black ballet shoes, athletic wear, NO JEANS.

  • Level 1-6 Tap: tan tap shoes, leotard/unitard/dance set, tights, dance bag. Hair must be pulled back into ponytail or bun. Boys: black tap shoes, athletic wear, NO JEANS.

  • Level 1-6 Hip Hop: tennis shoes, comfortable clothing (NO JEANS). Hair must be pulled back away from face.

  • Strength and Stretch: barefoot or jazz/ballet shoes, leotard/unitard/dance outfit, NO TIGHTS. Hair must be pulled back into ponytail or bun.  Boys: barefoot or jazz/ballet shoes, athletic wear, NO JEANSMandatory equipment: stretching band, resistance band, 7in or 9in yoga ball, yoga blocks (2), yoga mat. Optional equipment: light ankle weights.

  • Leaps and Turns: jazz or ballet shoes, leotard/unitard/dance outfit (optional: tights). Hair must be pulled back into ponytail or bun. Boys: jazz or ballet shoes, athletic wear NO JEANS.

​

  • Ballet: pink canvas or leather shoes, leotard, tights (optional: ballet skirt, shrug, leg warmers). Hair must be in bun. Boys: black ballet shoes, athletic wear, NO JEANS.
